Have you ever heard of small pet subscription boxes? We’ve never tried one before ourselve but were kindly gifted one by my lovely friend Elita! So here is our video unboxing of the happy bunny club box. For those interested though I’ve added my feedback below so you can get a jist of the box and whether you feel you’d like to try one to.
Guineapig wheekly impression
- Happy bunny club is a UK based company but they do ship internationally ( shipping fee is £5).
- The box wass beautifully screenprinted in pink with their branding and in inside had a wax sealed letter explaining the contents of the box and pink tissue wrap. Also the bottom of the box is filled with hay so as you can see from the video penny was happy to hop in!
- First impression of the box I was quite happy with the variety in the box. There were 3 toys and 3 treats overall but I did find with alfalfa being in some of the treats I probably would be less likely to give them to my guinea pigs.
- How long did the box last ? Well the toys are quite durable and lasted our piggies 2 weeks so far, the treats however we distributed between them all which is almost gone haha.
- The pigs didn’t like the pear pieces much but the celery bits were one of their favourites.
Overall if you want to try some new small pet goodies that might not be available where you’re from or just simply treat your pet monthly I’d give happy bunny box a try!
Have a fab day! Katie and Piggies x
Hey everyone! How have you all been? Hope you’re all having a fab week so far. So I finally got around to vlogging again. It’s been tuns of fun at the guineapig wheekly studio lately and I have lots to show you.
We’ve been chilling with the piggies, designing new guineapig goodies and expanding to create a exciting little shop space so I’m super excited about it all and how the guineapig wheekly is growing. I have lots of ideas for some new blog posts as I’ve missed this blog so much!
Anyway I hope you enjoy this little vlog and I’ll see you next week for another blog post!

Well mother’s day is right around the corner, the one day in a year where mum is a queen for the day ( get that tea and cake ready!). However although being a mum to kids is a wonderful thing …being a guinea pig mum counts to right? Where nappy changes are replaced for poop scooping being a guinea pig mum still earns a reward and here are 3 of my ideal gift ideas for any guinea pig mum this mother’s day!

Guineapig earrings made by Bex of Animagic have such character and charm! The hand drawn doodle of the piggie with a splash of colour simply brings them to life and are sure to make any mum feel wheekly adorable when worn!
Tea for two by Rachel of Babette Artisan is simply beautiful! If you check out her website you’ll be able to find out that Rachel actually crafts these figurines herself , casts them and hand paints them to a beautiful finish! With the touching baby piggie and his mummy this figurine would have pride and place on mums desk or mantle piece for sure.
Lastly is the “A house is not a home without a guinea pig!” print by Claire of pawprintillustration. The quote says it all really a house is really not a home without a guinea pig and a mum ofcourse! This heart warming piggie print would look beautiful on any bedroom or living room wall and I adorable Claire’s detailed illustration at the very bottom she’s truly very talented.
If you like any of the piggie products here’s then the links are above for you to check out these featured makers and remember it truly means so much to support small talented businesses! Be sure to share and comment if you liked this blog post we’d love to hear from you!

It’s happened…. my guineapig ate my hair! I was having some very much deserved cuddly time with Cookie and Gigi ( after Cookie had a recent abcess and dose of antibiotics cuddles are always the best medicine!). It was then that I heard this rather strange munching and being sat there like rapunzel with her hair all a flow turned to see a chunk of my hair in Gigi’s mouth!??!
Long time no see! I’m sorry I’ve been away for a while, I’ve been a bit under the weather but I have something exciting I can finally share with you all so check out this video!

When I was younger my sister and I had a guinea pig called Lofty and a rabbit he was previously paired with named Harriet whom lived outside in a secure hutch for most of the year. Now at the time we were very young and despite researching about guinea pig and rabbit care with our parents, we only brought them inside during the winter season.
Now it wasn’t until I was 24 that I got my own small pets again after coming across Cookie and Gigi one christmas. Seeing as they were both still so young, they stayed inside as indoor pets for many months and it was during this time that I got thinking about the benefits of doing so. From then on I’ve always kept my guinea pigs indoors because I feel there’s lots of positives to it and here’s a few reasons why! Continue reading
